My thoughts, some news, books I'm reading, movies I'm watching, whatever else.

I will use this blog as a space to pause, reflect, write, review books/movies/art/etc. Maybe some political commentary here and there.. whatever strikes the mood.

I am using this more as a permanent journal for myself than anything else because I always seem to lose paper ones, but feel free to explore and comment.
Who needs to go to the Tribeca Film Festival when you can watch all of the movies in the comfort of your own potato-chip flecked couch, thanks to On Demand! (jk, obvi).. There is something inherently more exciting and noteworthy about going to see a movie in theaters, especially during the festival.
However Dan and I did use this On Demand category last night and watched “The English Teacher”, a heart-warming story led by Julianne Moore about a complacent and ordinary school teacher (do people actually lead lives as boring as hers?) with a passion for literature who leads her students and best-friend and fellow teacher, Nathan Lane (my fav), through a production of a play written by her former student/current sex buddy. Overall, entertaining and cute, and I always love Nathan Lane.
